GRP Under Ground Septic Tank
Watani’s GRP Septic Tanks are manufactured by Filament-winding process conforming to ASTM D 3299 Standard Specifications.
The method of construction is typical to all Watani’s FW-processed tanks. For its liner, vinyl ester resin is used with “C” glass reinforcement. Succeeding structural layers are backed-up with “E” glass reinforcements.
Like other underground GRP tanks, septic tanks are provided with solid stiffening rings to attain required stiffness.
Tank Construction
Cylinders produced by Filament-winding process exhibit high modulus of laminate— a property that tells the strength of materials. Typically, specific gravity of laminate is at the range of 1.5 to 1.76 g/ml.
Tank endcaps on the other hand, is constructed by open moulding process with the same laminate construction method as the tank shell.
Tank shell and endcaps are assembled by joining it with a pre-determined stacks of a number of glass fiber reinforcements forming the laminate joint overlays.
This tank is specially designed to trap oil and grease before allowing liquid to flow into sewer system. Watani can customize your particular application.Discuss your idea with one of our Technical Sales personnel.
